description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with white cloth, with the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. He is kneeling on the floor and tying pieces of wood with wire. His face and torso are divided by lines that cross in the area of his navel. A mallet, a brush, and a jar of paint lie next to it. The material document in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation of the manifestation are currently in the MOCAK collection in Kraków.
