description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with a towel, and has the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. He is kneeling on the floor and spreading a linen loincloth in front of himself, on which diagonal lines intersect. His face and torso are divided by lines that intersect in the area of the navel. Next to him lies a bundle of logs, an axe, a puck. On the right side Wojciech Sztaba is sitting. The material document from the manifestation in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation from the manifestation are currently in the collection of MOCAK in Kraków.
