description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with a towel, and has the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. He is standing up from his knees, his face and torso are divided by lines that cross in the area of the navel. He is holding an axe in his hand. In front of him lies a linen loincloth, on which diagonal lines cross. On it lies a bundle of wood chips. Wojciech Sztaba is sitting on the right. The material document from the manifestation in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation from the manifestation are currently in the collection of MOCAK in Kraków.
