description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with white cloth, with the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. He is kneeling on the floor and putting down the axe. His face and torso are divided by a vertical line. In front of him lies a tree stump split in two. The material document from the manifestation in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation from the manifestation are currently in the MOCAK collection in Kraków.
