description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with white cloth, with the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. He is kneeling on the floor and painting another diagonal line on his torso. His face and torso are divided by lines that cross in the area of the navel. In front of him lie splinters of wood and an axe. Wojciech Sztaba is sitting on the right. The material document from the manifestation in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation from the manifestation are currently in the collection of MOCAK in Kraków.
