description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with white cloth, with the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. He is kneeling on the floor and chopping another log. His face and torso are divided by lines that cross in the area of his navel. Pieces of a tree stump and a mallet lie in front of him. Wojciech Sztaba is sitting on the right. The material document from the manifestation in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation from the manifestation are currently in the collection of MOCAK in Kraków.
