description: Photographic documentation of Jerzy Bereś’s manifestation "Auction" (September 28-31, 1973), made in the PI gallery (Kraszewskiego Street 9, Kraków). The artist is girded with white cloth, and has the inscription "Bereś" painted on his chest. His face and torso are divided by lines that cross in the area of ​​his navel. He is kneeling over a bundle of wood chips tied with wire. He is holding a towel in his hand and handing over a brush and a jar of paint to Maria Pinińska-Bereś. An axe lies next to it. The material document in the form of a painted loincloth and photographic documentation of the manifestation are currently in the collection of MOCAK in Kraków.
