description: Photo session in Jerzy Bereś’s studio at Siemaszki Street in Kraków, during which Jerzy Bereś launches the sculptures "God’s Hand" (1972), the session involves Jerzy Bereś and three young women, including Maria Socha (Potocka). They are at the sculpture, which is set in motion (pendulum). Two women are sitting next to the sculpture, Maria Socha (Potocka) is standing and setting it in motion, Bereś is lying behind the sculpture. On the left side you can see "Rotunda with a Bell" (1962) by Maria Pinińska-Bereś and "Altar of Fire" (1973) by Bereś, on the right his sculpture "Entertainment Mill" (1969/70). "God’s Hand" is a participatory sculpture. It was purchased by the Milanese gallerist Arturo Schwarz in 1973. Schwarz planned to create a Museum of the Eastern European Avant-Garde, but the plan was never realized. After many years, he sold his collection at auction. Since then, the fate of the sculpture is unknown.
