Maria Pinińska-Bereś:
Clad in white, I lead a group of persons, carrying a large pink flag with a white cloth strapped to the flagpole. The first act takes place on a pink little bridge in the Dworek Białoprądnicki park. I untie the straps, spread the cloth, and place the flag by the balustrade. Then I sit barefoot on the white cloth, facing the waving flag and play a flute, performing an act of celebration. After about half an hour the same ritual takes place on a hillock; then, the flag is stuck in the bottom of a stream and the ritual is repeated. In the final act, I climb to the top of a triangulation tower in Prokocim and, in strong wind, repeat the ritual once again. Enclosed in a mound of sand with photographs from the performance, the Standard becomes an exhibit.
