The Last Dispute with Marcel Duchamp
14 III 1995
Galeria Langage Plus, Alma, Kanada
(MANIFESTATION MADE AS PART OF A JOINT TRIP OF A GROUP WHICH ALSO INCLUDED MAREK CHOŁONIEWSKI, WŁADYSŁAW KAŹMIERCZAK AND ARTUR TAJBER. THE GROUP WAS INVITED BY LE LIEU GALLERY)
Description of the manifestation:
This action is a modification of The 3rd Dispute with Marcel Duchamp. It differs in the following elements: the artist enters the room naked, his penis painted black and white. The chess game is accompanied by a black-and-white checkered pattern being painted on his back. The pouring of vodka is accompanied by the word SENSE being painted on his chest. After smashing the empty bottle against a stone, the artist does not discard the stone. He takes a brush dipped in green paint and steps onto the podium. He signs the stone and paints the current date beside it. Lifting the stone and presenting it to the audience, he states that he believes what is natural is stronger than what is artificial. He then invites the audience to drink.
